my StarTrac 4500 series Treadmill turns on then shows a No RPM reading. Belt does not move?

please help! have star trac treadmill serial # 904223 D / model# 920-0900 /console shows “speed error 0” we are 90 yrs old and use it only for walking now but it will no longer start…..where to look for problem?

We have a Star Trac treadmill Model 4531-BUSAP3. We love it. It’s part of the daily routine for 3 of us in this home. It is showing an error message of EL STL and will not operate. We tried finding an explanation online for how to fix this but nothing worked. Can you tell us what we should try ourselves or who to contact for service? We are in Ohio.

I go to the gym everyday and spend 30 minutes on a star trac 8. I have asked the trainers at the gym a few questions about this treadmill but they don’t have the answers. I have three questions that I would like answers to. 1). I walk on the treadmill at a speed of 25. What does 25 mean? It isn5 mph kph, what is it associated with? 2). I walk at an elevation of 30.
