As far as the cable replacement goes, take a sample of the cable to your local hardware store IE home depot or Lowe’s. Ask them to match cable with something they have in stock . Get a roll of it how ever many feet you’re gonna need. Also ask to match the proper crimp ends with something they have . Its not a big deal so dont torture yourself thinking about it.
